MEETING WITH THE HON'BLE CHIEF COMMISSIONER


On 25.04.2012, AICEIA Chandigarh team comprising of Shri R.C. Sharma, Circle President, Shri Bhagwan Singh, Circle General Secretary and Shri Munish Arya, Office Secretary, met the worthy Chief Commissioner, Chandigarh Zone, in his office. The meeting was held in a very cordial manner and the new team assured full cooperation at its end. The Chief Commissioner was courteous enough to give us a patient hearing. The following points were discussed : -

Regarding ICT and AGT orders:

The Chief Commissioner assured that the ICT Orders will be issued latest by the end of April, 12 and that there will be complete transparency and fairness in the Orders.  On being requested, he assured that there will be no repeated postings in the AGTs and laid down policy will be strictly followed.

Regarding allocation of posts of Superintendents for ICP, Attari

The Hon’ble Chief Commissioner apprised the team that the CBEC is seized of the matter and the matter wil be expedited, though some time may be taken due to procedural /technicalities/formalities.

Regarding shortage of Inspectors :

The Hon’ble Chief Commissioner told that some of the newly recruited Inspectors have not
yet joined and matter is being taken up with the Staff Selection Commission to send the dossiers of the candidates in the waiting list. Lateron, during meeting with the ADC (P&V), Chandigarh-1, the latter assured that the letter will be sent expeditiously.

Regarding infrastructural facilities :

The Chief Commissioner informed that he is  always ready and willing  to provide best of the infrastructural facilities to the officers and assured that he has already issued necessary directions to the Commissioners in this regard. However,  he told that there was lack of initiative from the lower formations/staff to submit the demand position expeditiously as and when a report in this regard is called.

Besides this,  the General Secretary has requested all the Commisioners within the Zone ( except Chandigarh-1, where a JCM is already likely to be held in last week of April, 12) to give them appointment, and all the Commissioners have been kind enough to confirm the appointment in the next week.
