Building, Sector 17-C,                 Chandigarh.   Sir, Subject: Redressal of Agenda Points raised in Meeting of Inspectors’    Association       on 30.09.2013 held at Zonal Hqrs. Chandigarh. – C/R.                    Please refer to your office letter C.No.16/zone-14/Admn/JCM/2013/9836 dated 23.10.2013 regarding details of rewards cases pending for sanction with the administration.                     In this context, it is intimated that some members raise the point that reward cases are pending since long.  Accordingly, the Association brought to the knowledge of the administration that pending reward cases may be taken up for disposal.  As regards specific cases pending disposal, it is pertinent to mention that all the records related to reward proposal received and disposed are lying with the administration, therefore, an exhaustive list of pending reward cases needs to be drawn at Commissionerate level along with progress/status report and the same may be up loaded on official website for information of all the concerned.                      However, Association is making all efforts to collect data of reward proposals pending with administration for sanction. At present whatever data relating to pending reward cases has collected by the Association is enclosed herewith for taking necessary action.  Further, in due course if any other case(s) comes to the knowledge of the Association, the same will also be forwarded for appropriate action.  Further, the enclosed list includes only those cases which have been brought to the notice of Association by the members.  It is only a fraction of the total pending cases of rewards and exhaustive list drawn from the records of Reward Section of respective Commissionerates can only reveal the exact position of pending proposals.                                       It is also to be mentioned here that in a number of cases reward proposals are pending for want of information as to whether the case has attained finality or not.  As all of us are aware that due to frequent transfers no one remains posted to a particular place for a long time whereas the cases booked take a lot of time to attain finality in such a situation the time lag between the time when a particular case has been booked and the time when such a case attains finality becomes hindering factor in sanction of reward.  In such cases follow up action for updating the status needs to be taken up by reward branch and pending cases need to be disposed of accordingly expeditiously.  updating                                   Yours faithfully, Encls.
