MESSAGE OF ALL INDIA SECRETARY GENERAL REGARDING STRIKE.
Office bearers of
AICEIA have met Com.K K N Kutty, Secretary General of the Confederation
of Central Government Employees and Workers, and pledged our
participation and support to the Confederations's call for Strike on
12.12.12 . The Charter of Demands includes several issues which have a
direct and crucial bearing on the future of every single Central
Government employee - Immediate constitution of 7th Pay Commission,
Ensuring minimum five promotions to all employees in their normal career
span, Withdrawal of the PRFDA Bill and the proposed "reforms" in the
Pension sector, which snatches away the most beneficial service
condition for us employees - Assured/Defined Pension - from not just the
post 2004 entrants in Govt. Service, but also includes devious
provisions to deprive all existing employees from pension, lifting ban
on filling vacancies and creation of new posts.....These are Demands
which touch the very core of our being as public servants.
Secretaries of all
Circles/Branches of the AICEIA have already been advised to serve
notice for the Strike to respective Chief Commissioners/ Commissioners
following serving of notice to the Chairperson, CBEC by the Secretary
General. If any Circle/Branch has not done so yet, please do so
immediately.
All office bearers
and members of AICEIA are requested to actively campaign for making the
12.12.12 Strike a resounding success. Remember Comrades, our position
as Government Servants is precariously poised, and this Strike will, in
the years to come, mark a decisive milestone in our lives - for better,
or for worse - the moment has come for us to choose!
Ajit Kumar K G
Secretary General
